Android first started as a startup by Andy Rubin, Rich Miner, Nick Sears and Chris White. It was acquired by Google in 2005. Since then Google made sure that Android became a success it is now. With more than 130 million Android devices out there and 550,000 devices being activated everyday, Android is on one hell of a dream run.
